San Diego Hotel for Holiday Beachfront Getaways

Our journey begins!

Perhaps it’s the family-friendly appeal, perhaps its the vibrant Mediterranean climate (a little foreign flavor for a somewhat foreign idea), but either way, sunny San Diego struck me as the perfect place to begin our exploration of beachfront getaways for the holidays.

San Diego, California maintains a bustling tourist trade pretty much year-round, but its popularity as a family destination, what with attractions like Sea World, the San Diego Zoo and the beaches, it does cater to the summertime vacation glut. Perspicacious traveler that you are, you’ll know to take advantage of this by hitting them up off-season and saving some cash in the process.

Temperatures can drop a little by December, with the highs around seventy, but don’t let that stop you from bringing your suit. You’ll find that the occasional chilly day does nothing to discourage the local water enthusiasts, and even if you don’t feel like flapping the water wings, you can look forward to a peaceful time on the beach, which should be less crowded then usual.

Additionally, it’s located right across form the San Diego boardwalk, the perfect place to get this most unusual vacation started.
