The 2009 MacWorld Conference and Expo® is fast approaching, and if you still haven’t reserved your accommodations in San Francisco you should think about acting soon. Even in a healthy lodging town like San Fran, events as massive as MacWorld can fill up the options lickety-split. (That’s right, I said “lickety-split”).
Since the expo is located at the Moscone Center, we thought we’d take the opportunity to mention one of our favorite Union Square hotels, the Hotel 480. Boasting a modern contemporary atmosphere and work-ready amenities like a 24-hour business center with Internet, Hotel 480 is great for the kind of no-hassle stay that most conference attendees are looking for.
Whether or not they drink the iKool-Aid, the MacWorld Conference and Expo® is an exciting and important event for technology buffs if for no other reason than the fact that it will change their lives whether they want it to or not. In 1998 it was the iMac, in 1999 the iBook, in 2001 iTunes and finally in 2007 it was the mother of all devices, the iPhone. Simply put, MacWorld is when Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, tells us where the world is headed for the next year.
The 2009 event runs from January 5-9 and takes up nearly the entire Moscone Center, which is no small feat. Along with panels, addresses, demonstrations and exhibits on every possible facet of Apple brand products, the expo has become known for explosive nighttime parties, so if it’s your first time, be up for anything.
