Planning to see the Rose Bowl? – A Los Angeles Hotel Suggestion
For a lot of people, New Year’s Eve is the actual holiday. You skip work, you pass out the drinks early and you watch alleged cyborg Dick Clark ring in the New Year (although I think Ryan Seacrest does all the leg work these days). New Year’s Day itself, then, is a murky malaise of hangovers and whimpering.
However, for a boisterous bunch of football fans, the annual Rose Bowl and Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California is what ringing in the New Year is all about. We still don’t know this year’s competitors, but that means there’s still a chance to get your tickets and make your hotel reservations.
Unless you’re lucky enough to have an alma mater headed to the big game, you’ll have to rely on public tickets. For General Public tickets to the Rose Bowl game, call (213) 365-3675 or visit www.ticketmaster.com starting December 9th. These tickets are limited (very limited), so act quickly.
We wanted to keep it interesting, so we looked into one of our favorite Los Angeles hotels, the Kyoto Grand Hotel & Gardens, and noticed that they happen to be featuring a Rose Bowl package: accommodations, parking and transportation for $239, which is an awesome price for LA. Check it out here.
