Haunted History Tours – The Boston Spirits

With plenty of corruption, murder and bloodshed under its belt, not to mention a history dating back to 1630, how could the great city of Boston, Massachusetts not be haunted?

The answer: it couldn’t!

In fact, the friendly folks at New England Ghost Tours would have you believe the old girl is crawling with ghosts and ghouls of every order, and we say the more the merrier. Of course, Beantown has a number of tour companies providing fun for the supernaturally-inclined, but we like the Boston Spirits Walking Tour by New England Ghost Tours.

Boston Graveyard

This family-friendly creepfest begins, as so many Boston tours do, at Boston Common. After a quick stop at the Central Burying Ground, its off to a number of historic locations said to house lingering spirits: the Public Garden, the Athenaeum and the Omni Parker House to name a few. Every step of the way, your passionate tour guide will tickle your scare bone with true tales of Boston’s most active spirits.

Boston Spirits Walking Tours are hosted on select nights starting at Boston Common at 8:00 p.m. Tour admission is $18.00 for adults, $13.00 for children. Tours are 90 minutes. Learn more here.

For Boston hotels near downtown and the Common, we like the Holiday Inn Boston at Beacon Hill. They’re currently running a package with four admissions to the Museum of Science, another more-than-worthwhile attraction, and with more and more hotels starting to skimp on convenience amenities, free high-speed Internet access in-room is nothing to scoff at.
