Haunted History Tours – Nashville Ghost Tours

So just yesterday I expressed love for the cozy little North Texas metropolis of Dallas, but thinking it through I realized that there is one major shortcoming, and I’m not talking about beaches or mountains. Dallas doesn’t have any ghosts!

Seriously, Google search “dallas ghost tours” some time and try to find an accredited, publicized full-service ghost tour company operating in the Dallas metropolitan area. We have history here, but much to my grim dismay, we have next to nothing in the way of haunted history. Alas, the closest I get to paranormal activity is lower Greenville after midnight.

It seems us Dallasites have to get our fix on the road, and we have another excellent ghost tour for you fright fans our there: Nashville Ghost Tours.

Ah, Music City. Friendly faces, live entertainment, succulent barbeque, and blood-curdling horror! The Nashville Ghost Tours company takes guests on a sinister 90-minute walk through this famously upbeat town, revealing the dark history behind some of Nashville’s most famous landmarks.

Orb in St. Mary's Tower

Beginning in front of the historic Hermitage Hotel, the downtown Nashville ghost tour will take you on a leisurely, story-filled stroll to the Tennessee State Capitol, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Printer’s Alley, and finally Ryman Auditorium, the former home of the Grand Ole Opry. All the while, truly expert storytellers will fascinate you and ever so slightly tickle your fear muscles with strange and well-researched accounts of these places’ most unsavory happenings.

The company has also added two more tours, a Haunted Taverns Tour (those are always fun) and a romantically gothic Horse-Drawn Carriage Ghost Tour. These two have not been tried by USA Travel Guide, but the company literally wrote the book on Nashville ghosts and haunted history, and their tour guides are some of the best in the game, so we feel comfortable giving the recommendation.

Nashville Ghost Tours are hosted nightly starting at 8:00 p.m. in front of the Hermitage Hotel. Tours do sell out, so consider purchasing tickets online before hand. The company asks all guests arrive at 7:45 in preparation for the tour. Learn more.

Enjoy convenient accommodations in Nashville at the Holiday Inn Nashville – Opryland Airport. Airport shuttle, free parking, kids eat free, high-speed Internet, do I even need to go on?

Side Note: To the no-doubt intelligent, dedicated and hardworking members of the Dallas Area Paranormal Society (DAPS), much love! Your chosen jurisdiction must make your job unimaginably difficult. Take me out sometime. Prove me wrong. I’d love to do a write-up for you guys. You can find my contact info on the About Us page.
