Summer Beach Vacations – Singer Island, Florida

Summer Beach Vacations in Singer Island, Florida

I’ve been so distracted by tattooed ladies that I nearly forgot what time is. That is, summertime. It’s time we got back to our summer vacation coverage, and we’re going all out on this next one on beautiful Singer Island, Florida.

Resorts as far as the eye can see line the idyllic coast of Singer Island, Florida, located just off the shores of the famous Palm Beaches. It’s a warm, cushy, barefoot kind of sand all the way up the coast, and gentle flecks of mist drifting off the shorefront help to keep beachgoers cool even on the hottest days. You’ll find tons to do in the area, and we’ll get to that, but most of all Singer Island is a place to be on the beach.

Anything is game. Swimming, surfing, body-boarding, lounging and sand-castle building are some low-cost favorites (and the sand really is great for it), or you can splurge a little for boating, jet skiing, parasailing, deep sea fishing or scuba diving. Most resorts feature either on-site equipment rental or partnerships with nearby companies. This is a resort destination after all. Wherever you stay, you’re going to get pampered.

Maybe that’s all you need (and that’s no criticism), but for the slightly more adventurous, set to one of the many terrific attractions in the Singer Island and West Palm Beach areas. Some favorites include:

We really lucked out on the hotel. A favorite of ours to begin with, the Hilton Singer Island Oceanfront Resort will feature select $99/night rooms for the summer starting this Sunday, July 5, 2009. This is a phenomenal rate at a very fine hotel. Clean, modern, located on the beach, family-friendly for those who care and now only 99 bucks. It’s a smart choice.

Have fun!
