Big Bear Winterfestis a two day event, February 3-4, that combines sports, fashion, food and music to raise awareness about breast cancer. One dollar from every ticket sold goes to B4BC, Boarding For Breast Cancer, a foundation dedicated to raising awareness, emphasizing early detection and encouraging active lifestyles.
This year’s Winterfest is themed Battle of the Sexes and promises friendly competition between the sexes during the XOS Rail Jam, Fashion Show and DJ Concerts. The event kicks off with an evening fashion show and DJ concert for 18 and up. Headlining the concert are well known DJs including: DJs Revolvr, Tatiana Fontes and Kristina Sky. Don’t miss 2Deadbeatz, Duality, Shibby, MC2 and Ayla Simone. Be on the lookout for good natured dance offs.
On Saturday, however, the Big Bear Visitor Center parking morphs into a winter festival for all ages. Featuring games, demos, tasty treats, art displays, information booths and a kid’s play area. The main attraction on Saturday is the XOS Rail Jam, where professional boarders battle it out to see which sex boards the best. Open to the public, fun for all ages and free to watch. The evening closes with a second night of mad beats and funky fashion.
