River Parade The Riverwalk
3:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. Visitors can partake in scrumptious treats while enjoying the festive floats and engaging Irish music. It’s during this parade that the river is transformed with eco-friendly green dye and is temporarily rename The River Shannon.
St. Patrick’s Day Hooley Beethoven Maennenchor
5:00 P.M. – 11:00 P.M. Don’t miss out on this authentic St. Patrick’s Day celebration with dancers, music and Irish food at the Beethoven Maennenchor.
Traditionally there is a street parade; however, due to increasing expenses the 45th annual parade has been cancelled. It is a melancholy day when such a beautiful display of Irish pride, enjoyed by all, is cancelled due to lack of funding. Feel free to show your support by emailing the San Antonio City Council.
There is still much to enjoy in San Antonio and it’s a great destination for the family. Show your Irish pride on March 17th and celebrate with a town that knows how to party.
